One Day Closer

Court went well.  Everything is progressing forward positively.  We have a good 2-3 months wait ahead of us.  For now our hearts are filled with hope and joy.  We are just holding tight to the fact that we are one day closer... to having her in our arms, to kissing her chubby cheeks, to snuggling her close, to seeing her smile in person, to watching her personality develop, to getting to pray over her, and to pour God's love into her.  We realize waiting won't be easy, and parenting isn't going to be any easier but we are ready for anything the Lord has in store with Him by our side.

You know you are a second grade teacher when...

I have been keeping my mind and hands busy by making my students and Evan valentines.  I made my students little slinky monsters with monster cards.  I also made Evan some quirky monster cards along with owl valentines.  I finished out by making my "Valentine's Box."  I made love birds in a nest with an baby E egg in the middle.  Here are the final results...

 This next valentine was from one of my sweet students.  My little Cowboy made this card equipped with a key.  He wrote inside that I hold the key to his heart.  On top of that little Cowboy brought me a rose today as well.  Don't worry my Big Cowboy sent flowers to school too.

Garden of Eden

Here are the snapshots of Eden's Nursery.  I painted a tree and Evan made the shelves.  I also painted her verse we pray over her on an old window.  The window was an original from our house.  I also placed fabric in embroidery hoops alongside an embroidered E  and a quilted diamond from my Grandma's collection.  Lastly I made the mobile out of doilies over her changing table.  Overall I am happy with how this whimsical Garden of Eden turned out.  A few more little projects and it will be complete.  Now all we need is our bundle of joy.

Valentines Day to remember...

Had a hard workout this morning and I was hurting, but then when I got home I checked my email. It had a special little message for us. Totally forgot about how bad my arms hurt :) Here it is:

We got the court notice today for Eden’s court date.  It is for February 15^th at 11:00 A.M.  As always, keep praying!
