April Update!

Hey Dad and Mom!
Guess what? I grew some more this month! I now weigh 15.1 lbs and am 24 inches long. I’ve started to like playing on the floor playground. I grab at the rings and things hanging over me, and I really like looking in the mirror. I recently started taking a pacifier which made a lot of people happy! Bath time isn’t my favorite thing, but I am always so happy when I’m freshly clean! I’m so excited to meet you! Just a couple more weeks!
Love, Eden
She looks so peaceful.... I pray she keeps this up for the plane ride home.

Soy Joy

We tried another "Asian" Inspired recipe.  We made Soy Milk, Soy Muffins, and Soy Granola.  It was time consuming but well worth the effort.  We have been trying to live a much healthier lifestyle and have made great progress.  Between working out and eating oodles of vegetables we have both become much healthier.  My meat, potatoes, and dessert man has turned into a meat, veggie, and frozen fruit man.  I am so proud of him for all of the effort he has made, even when he makes fun of me for lifting less than half of what he lifts.

From soy to joy.

Continue to pray that God is creating in us parents that Eden needs.

Tickets!

We have our tickets to Taiwan!  We are actually flying with another couple as well.  They are a lovely couple from around this area.  It shall be quite the journey with two babies on the way back.  Also Evan is preaching and we are teaching Sunday School while we are there.  I am really looking forward to experiencing Church with all the fellow believers.
He is actually crying because he is so happy.  This also happens to be his Popeye impression.

Oh and also we added to our farm.  Meet Marigold, Tulip, Daisy, and Zinnia.   They will hopefully be great friends with our duck Daffodil.

Spring is in the Air

In celebration of spring time and Easter we sent another care package with little dresses and a bunny-bear.
I can't wait to tickle the little toes.
This verse has been such an encouragement:  "I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord." 1 Samuel 1:27-28
This is our prayer for her. We pray that her whole life will be given over to the Lord.

Taiwanese Tea Eggs

Evan found a recipe for Taiwanese Eggs.  Supposedly they are very popular there and are even sold at their 7-Elevens.  They look odd but taste great.  They are super salty with a hint of licorice which is from the star of anise.  I know they sound weird, but are uniquely yummy.  I think we are going to introduce them to the  family for Easter.  We won't be hiding them though I think they would be too hard to find.

School Baby Shower

These three lovely ladies are a daily encouragement and a joy to teach alongside.  This is my second grade team.  They threw this wonderful baby shower for Eden, Evan, and I.  At the shower we were so blessed with many sweet and sentimental gifts.  I have truly enjoyed teaching at East, and will miss them dearly.  Evan and I have prayed a whole lot about the future of our family.  The Lord has been providing for me to be able to stay at home with Eden next year.  I am looking forward to being able to take care of Eden, but plan on helping out at East wherever I can.

Nicole made these wonderful cupcakes.  She is our cupcake queen at school.

These are adorable little wash cloth cup cakes.
He couldn't wait to set up the little lion.
One day closer, now all we need is Eden.
In God's time.

Knock Knock... Update Day!

One of my students told me this joke:  "Knock Knock... Who's there?... Taiwan... Taiwan who?...  Taiwan to have Eden here."
Such sweet comedians I teach.
Update:
Hey Dad and Mom! I now weigh 13.33 lbs and am 23 inches long. I am starting
to "talk" more every day, and I smile and laugh every day! The main time I
don't want to smile is when I'm being fed while I'm awake. I just fight and
fight until I fall asleep...and then I drink! I sleep pretty well at night.
I really like to have my feet propped up on my doggy while I sleep. I love
to play in the hop & pop saucer now! I feel like a big girl when I sit in
it! The weather has been getting warmer, and sometimes we get to go outside!
I really enjoy that. I hope you're all great!
Love, Eden
Look she is already sporting plaid like her dad.  She is also ready for a tea party with her lil hat.
One day closer to playing with our lil miss.
